In this section I'd like to take you through the process of creating the stuff that I draw.
I hope rather than self-indulgence this will give those interested a window into how an illustrator goes from manuscript to printed piece.

Globe and Mail Books Cover

For my first step-by-step I'm going to show a cover illustration for the Books section of the Globe and Mail I did at the end of last year.
As a trial I decided to post my drawings and thoughts on a Professional Posting board called the Wisenheimer - it was an interesting experience for me to take others along for the ride of doing a large piece in a very tight deadline. I will share some of the things said by others viewing the process - names withheld to protect the innocent of course.
