I am sure it comes as no surprise that I love comic books. The term graphique is a further nod to my European comic influence. I remember getting a Spanish version of Heavy Metal (Metal Hurlant), and pouring over it to observe the colourization and panel breakdown. I get asked to do these graphic novel type illustrations a lot - and I love them. Often while I paint (traditionally and digitally), I have copies of Batman, Green Lantern, Mr. X and a slew of others strewn across my desk. (Have you seen the comic Invincible? Wow.)
